One of our goals is to have the “Unity of Believers Seminar” where we have invited pastors and teachers from all the different churches on the island and teach the “Restoration of the New Testament Church Concept”.  On the way from Honolulu to American Samoa I was walking the aisle of the plane to keep up circulation. I passed a man who was reading his Bible and stopped to talk…found out he was the Senior Pastor of a church on Western Samoa with eight congregations under his direction. I told him of our plans and he was interested in coming. He had to go back to Western Samoa (an hours flight away) but we made plans to have breakfast at the airport this morning. This picture is of that meeting.  He is sitting across from me.  The man next to him is another pastor with his denomination who preaches here in American Samoa.  Luuao Soli is the man seated next to me…an elder and preacher for the Nu’uuli church.  While at this meeting, my friend from Western Samoa put me on the phone with the director of the denomination for all of Samoa representing a total of 15 churches.  Pray that our future meetings will result in Jesus’ desire for unity with these churches…that we can come to agreement on restoring the New Testament Church.  He has invited me to come and hold the seminar in Western Samoa…don’t know where God is leading in this, but I see His hand all over the situation. Let’s Learn a little Samoan language…

I know we won’t be able to be fluent in Samoan and I also know we can completely rely on English, but it’s never a bad idea to learn a few words in the language of the people we’re going to visit. I thought it would be a good idea to at least learn a few basic words and start practicing them before we leave for our trip. We could even practice with each other. Let’s have some fun with this!!
